These new flexible seating options will provide the students with a different option besides a “big kid” chair. Many students thrive when they are able to move and change their seating arrangement. Flexible seating can often eliminate the behavior issues that may occur and students are more engaged in their learning when they have variety and a choice. My kindergarteners will love having a choice in where they work in our classroom! Studies show, and I have seen, fantastic results from classrooms with flexible seating options for their students. I know my students would benefit as well, and I can't wait to see their excitement, as well as engagement, increase with our new seating options.
