The expectation that students show and share their thinking within the classroom throughout the day is one students love to live up to. During number talks we use personal whiteboards and markers and then project our awesome thinking for the class to see. This is such a powerful way for students to learn from their peers, and a great way for me to assess students' growth. As powerful as it is to have this amazing tool, it does come with its downfalls. The boards are small, perfect for little hands but very limiting when working on solving problems in multiple ways. The boards have chips and scratches, and have become discolored due to years of use. By having whiteboard tables, students will be able to have plenty of space to work out all their work and take meaningful gallery walks of learning. By donating to our project, you will be supporting students engagement and collaboration across content areas, ultimately helping students reach their academic goals. Students will be able to have the space to work out multiple ways to solve mathematical problems, design project blueprints, and complete word study while working in collaborative groups.
