My students would really benefit from reading materials on their levels and books about historical figures. I plan on creating a project where the students chose a historical figure and we have a wax museum. The students will dress like their person in history and present an essay to the class. I plan on incorporating more independent reading as well as guided reading in my classroom. My students need improvement on their fluency, phonics and Lexile levels and these reading materials would be beneficial to them. These books will create more choices for my students to want to read again.
