These materials will help my students focus much better as we complete our guided instruction lessons. We spend up to thirty minutes on the floor and sitting that long can become a little unbearable. We use dry erase boards to show our work and using the seats will give them some support and a surface to work on. Imagine sitting on a hard floor for an extended amount of time trying to write on a white. After awhile, paying attention to the math becomes difficult because your bottom or back is hurting. Providing this support for the students will allow them an opportunity to stay fully engaged in the learning process.
