Studies have show that students with autism benefit from movement in the classroom to gain progress in academics. With standing desks, my students who have movement stimulation will be more successful in their academics. These students need as much movement stimulation as possible in all academic areas because of the increase of blood flow will cause more engagement in their classes. What better way to get movement in the classroom than with a standing desk? The students will be able to work and stand to get the most out of a lesson. There are many flexible seating ideas out there, but our classroom would love to have flexible movement. With math, ELA, Social Studies, and Science, our students will make progress.
