I am a first-year teacher teaching in a special education classroom for students with significant support needs. We are focusing on controlling our bodies and using communication as a strong tool this year! I am excited to use these resources so that the students in my classroom and around the school feel welcomed and empowered. I never want students to feel as though they can't do anything, I want them to feel that they can but maybe just not yet! I am excited about the liquid tile mats as they can help students practice and strengthen their gross motor abilities while they enjoy standing and stepping on them as their chosen spots for circle activities! I also am excited to use the "friends like me" puzzles to start conversations with their grade level peers on what makes us different and similar as humans! Thank you so much for your support in advance, I am working in a school where the students have a significantly lower household income and I want them to receive the same great classroom as other students are getting their age!
