Students like to read interesting books. Imagine these books incorporating math! It's a win win scenario! Students will go on mathematics adventures in the classroom. This is a great and easy eary finisher activity after testing or in between activities. It also serves as a good center activity. I have been looking for a way to strengthen student comprehension in my mathematics classroom. This is it. Gone are the days where mathematics problems only incorporate mathematics. Mathematics problems now a days require good comprehension skills. Reading builds comprehension especially when the reading is interesting. Help me bridge the gap between mathematics and literature for my students! Thank you!
