I chose books and book holders as my class project. I currently am in a classroom that lacks access to books. In order to help develop a love for books usually the children need access to different types of books. Due to budgetary constraints I am not able to give the students the library they deserve. I chose different titles that students would have interest in so they can become independent readers. I currently teach a balanced literacy program that teaches students how to become independent readers. In order to accomplish this task the students MUST have access to books. These books will be instrumental in helping teach my children how to read books and how we can become great thinkers while we read books.
