Flexible seating is rising in the classroom and I am excited to be apart of it. So many children suffer from ADHD and other disabilities that hold them back in the classroom. I have had many students in the past that are unable to stay seated and pay attention. I believe it has to do with the seating options that are available to them. Giving a child the ability to not only choose a seat, but to have a seat that fits their needs is essential. Having different options for seating like the Jellyfish and Wobble Chair I've requested will benefit children that are unable to sit still or need to constantly be moving. Small group is a huge part of my day. Having the Wobble Chairs at my small group table will allow the children to be able to think properly and allow them to feel comfortable in a learning environment. I know that implementing flexible seating will change the learning environment in my classroom for the better.
