Technology is a valuable learning tool that we use daily in the classroom. Students in my classroom are assigned Chromebooks to use with our curriculum. The problem is that most of my students do not have headphones. Technology is not a successful tool for learning unless you can turn up the volume. In a classroom environment, a room of students cannot turn up the sound to clearly hear their computer without it interfering with another student's learning. This project is so important to our classroom. With the headphones, I can provide the students with individualized lessons on the computer. Students can complete research. Struggling readers can use an app read aloud options on all websites. I can assign content area videos for students to watch and complete projects based on the videos. The possibilities are endless. We just need headphones.
