Times are changing, students should not have to sit at their desks for hours to complete an assignment. Personally, I do not like sitting in one place to get work done and I hardly ever get work done at a desk. When I lesson plan I am usually in a comfy chair, on a couch, or even on my bed. Any place that is comfortable will help me get work done. My students deserve the same comfort. It is not realistic to not give students options when it comes to how they complete their assignments. During my classes in undergrad and the graduate level, my professors expressed the importance of creating a classroom environment that fosters learning and giving students options for their seating is a step towards that direction. Having flexible seating options will give students the opportunity to work where they want in a comfortable position.
