Writing can be intimidating for 7 year olds! Moving young learners past their fears and into taking risks is vital to helping them achieve success. Having a special place to practice new writing skills that is inviting, fun, and supportive makes writing something they can't wait to do! Displays, storage, practice worksheets, dry erase boards, and a speedy sharpener will help us to complete the amazing writing center area that we have started to build. Students will rotate through this writing center daily for independent practice of strategies presented to them in our morning ELA lesson. We have a special desk, supplies, and decorations ready to go. We just need the finishing touches to get this going when school starts this year.
