These items will allow my students to work in smaller groups in order to improve reading skills. Students will have the opportunity to receive the tailored instruction they need by having a comfortable area to work with the teacher as well as a center that will allow them to listen to stories. This will encourage better listening skills as well as reading fluency. It will also allow students to continue working with each other and improving social emotional skills. Students will be able to collaborate in small groups with or without a teacher. Lastly, these items will benefit future students that will enter the second grade once these students move on.

About my class
