This will be my first year in 4th grade. I have several students coming to me, who are in need of the chair bands and wobbly cushions to help them focus. They can use the resistance bands to hold their feet or to move them around, and the wobbly chairs to rock back and forth while in their seat. The tools help stimulate their brain and keeps them on task. I've seen first hand how students who have ADD/ADHD struggle to listen to class discussion or in their independent school work because their mind is going in several different directions all at once. These tools help stimulate their body which takes alot of pressure off their brain and helps them zero in on the important acitivities. The other items will help maximize learning time such as the tape, which I will use to create pathways in the classroom to help students get around the classroom efficiently. This will make procedures such as moving in rotations quick because they already know where they are going. I plan to use the magazine holders to keep up with their notebooks and personal supplies. This will keep them from having to go to their locker several times a day. The stamps are for students and me to use while grading papers, they love the notes and all of the colors. The headphones will be offered to students to use on ipads in the classroom. Some students have their own, but most don't have the means to get their own. I would like to have several on hand for anyone that needs them. They like the buds and not over the head headphones because they fall off. All of these items will help with procedures in the classroom and maximize learning time!
