I want my students to go home every day with a better understanding of how things work and what technology can do for them. The 3D printer, document camera, and coding supplies will be beneficial to ALL my students. Each and every student will have opportunities to share ideas and techniques to solve real-world problems. I envision a classroom full of excited boys and girls getting hands-on experiences in science. The STEM activities these items would create will help all my students remain attentive and focused and increase academic achievement. My students will combine Language Arts and Science. They will create puzzles, games, and robots by using the coding materials and then be able to write about what they learned. Using the 3D printer, students will practice their geometry skills as well as calculate measurements, weights, and balance as they design a modular frame for a specific piece of art. Students can then easily share their designs with the rest of the class by use of the document camera. These are just a few of the amazing activities we will use the materials for. By helping fund this project, you will be ensuring my students an engaging and collaborative learning environment.
