Interactive, hands on centers help students link motivation and academic engagement to their everyday learning. The materials I am requesting for my classroom will be placed in my literacy and math centers. Literacy/math centers are a tool I use in my classroom every day. It is my students favorite part of the day and mine as well. They are each able to work self sufficiently on a skill that has been taught previously with a kinesthetic approach. I am very confident that these centers will help engage my students to be successful lifelong learners! Kindergarten is the foundation for students to build a love for learning. Maria Montessori wrote, "He does it with his hands, by experience, first in play and then through work - They hands are an instrument of man's Intelligence." The enriching literacy and math centers will set a great base for the entire school year! Thank you in advance for your consideration to help my students love for learning blossom!
