Teaching can be hard when you have to turn your back to students when writing something on the board. It can also be challenging to do more detailed projects in the classroom, without being able to model them for the students. It can also make it harder to tell if students are keeping up with the pace of the lesson, or have if they have questions. A document camera could be a huge help in the classroom in eliminating these struggles. A document camera would not only make it easier to incorporate interactive notes and projects in the classroom, but it would also provide an easy way for students to share their work and strategies in the classroom. A document camera would help students with their engagement of the lesson, by providing a visual support, and would also help give students a voice in the classroom. With a document camera, students will be able to see exactly what to do and how to follow along with the lesson. It will also allow me to see how students are interacting with the lesson. A document camera will also eliminate the time I spend having my back turned on the class. A document camera will make our class time more engaging and beneficial, while also providing more meaningful opportunities in the classroom for my students!
