Students will count, build, and solve problems together, learning academic skills as well as social skills. The hands on materials give them the opportunity to move, work out stress, and engage in learning. Students work together in centers to develop skills in counting, sorting, adding, and science concepts. They will enjoy the social interaction, but they will also learn to share, take turns, and learn collaboratively. Students will benefit from moving away from textbooks and worksheets. They also enjoy using their hands and having colorful, interesting materials to use. Social-emotional learning is essential to special needs children. They need your support!
