Hi there! I am a teacher from Atlantic City, New Jersey. I teach third grade in the same neighborhood where I grew up. Most of the students at my school come from disadvantaged backgrounds. In fact, 95% receive free or reduced cost lunch. As a community, we strive to overcome the challenges of poverty and violence every day. We work hard to grow and to achieve greatness. Many students, like myself, go off to college and then come back to serve and uplift the next generation. Due to various budget constraints, we often have to make due with less than we actually need. My students are gracious and try their best with what we have, but I know they could reach the highest of heights with access to more resources. This is where you can help. We would really love to have a set of tablets in our classroom. My students would love to be able to practice all of their skills on tablet devices with matching headphones. This resource has long been out of our reach due to finances, but I know that with your help, we can do it. Whatever amount, large or small, will make a huge difference. My students and I will be eternally grateful. Thank you and may God bless you.
