Reader's workshop is an integral part of each day in second grade. It allows students to explore books and opens their mind to new concepts. The skills taught during reader's workshop will carry with them throughout their life. Choice seating is a wonderful way to engage students and give them a comfortable space, while decoding words and comprehending information. The different types of seating I have requested are meant for students to use during reader's workshop. Specific students may also use them throughout the school day to help with their special needs. All of the seating choices I have chosen will greatly benefit children you are on the autistic spectrum and those who are diagnosed with ADHD. Your donation means so much to our classroom.
