The ultimate goal is to provide flexibility within the classroom environment to accommodate the developing physical needs and various maturity levels of 6th grade students. 6th graders need opportunities to collaborate with their classmates in engaging productive ways. They need space to work together on projects. By creating physical ease, students become more comfortable and better able to reach their full potential in learning and social interaction. By increasing the variation of productive learning spaces, I hope to elevate mood, energy, and promote sustained engagement in the learning process. 6th graders love the flexibility of taking their work to the floor. This low table and complimentary seating allows this option while optimizing productivity. This classroom is also used for STEM club and Math Super Bowl training space and would benefit additional project space! Thank you for your support in this effort!
