Individual student copies of Little House in the Big Woods will be a tool used for instructional purposes such as: summarizing, predicting, visualization, inference, implied messages, and synthesizing information. Students will read silently, buddy read and partake in rich and robust book discussions, while using this book. Students will build valuable background information, that will help them to connect to other literacy and math topics. The white boards will be another tool that students use to do math, brainstorming ideas, practice summarizing information, and practice spelling and word building activities. These items will help boost student learning this coming year.
