All of the items I have chosen will help set up my new classroom. I am a new teacher moving into a very new empty classroom. I am so excited to start my year out with a new theme and make my room as comfortable and functional as possible. I want my kids to feel at home and have as much organization as possible. We need a rug for large group activities and story time. We need flexible seating for small groups and centers. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work. Changing levels throughout the day keeps them constantly changing and moving which helps them get the wiggles out without causing a problem. I am making/ purchasing as much as possible but these items would complete my class! Thanks!
