Being a first year teacher, I am putting my classroom together from scratch. Students where I'm teaching have access to computers, though not in a one-to-one ratio. I would love to integrate more technology within the classroom by having one classroom iPad. A few examples of its uses include taking students on a virtual field trip, daily giving and tracking Class Do Jo points more conveniently, and allowing students to take pictures and/or record their individual work (& academic progress) for sharing privately with their parents through the Class Do Jo App. I will also be able to place the iPad underneath the class document camera for sharing supplemental math activities or word work. There is a second fourth grade class my class will collaborate with, so the iPad will actually benefit a total of at least 32 students.
