I have designed this project to help make my classroom more welcoming and efficient.
My goal is to increase time on task because true learning happens when students are engaged in the learning process.
This project will improve transitions during stations with the doorbell being the signal to move on to the next activity. It will also ensure that I clearly communicate voice level expectations with the push lights. A light will be illuminated next to the voice level description that is appropriate for each activity.
The various anchor charts that we create as a class will be clearly displayed for students to reference at any time with the magnetic curtain rods and clips! These charts contain tips on how to tackle difficult texts and model written responses.
The prize wheel will be used to motivate students to work together and earn a chance to spin and win a fancy pencil and/or eraser. I also included fidget items and a special chair for my students with ADHD and ADD.
All of these items will help the classroom move more efficiently!
Teaching is so rewarding but requires a lot of resources. I know that with your help, whatever their reading level, my students will enjoy English Language Arts and look forward to coming to my class.
