Students will engage in a close read of each of the novel(s). We will connect each day via Zoom. Students will keep their thoughts in a reading journal. Students will also engage in classroom discussions. Because we are starting from home, students will need to have novels that they can read from home. We will Zoom for some of the discussions. Students will consider how current issues relating to social justice impact things that are happing in this world- politically and otherwise. Students will be required to complete a project where they consider a current event and consider possible solutions to a problem. Thank you for considering this request.
