Since a lot of our demographics at our school is Hispanic I would love to incorporate more art from those countries. The lessons I would be doing with these items include Mexican Folk art (tempera paint, scratch boards for printmaking), Yarn painting (sticky boards and yarn I have on hand), Sugar skulls (model magic clay and tempera paint), Molas (construction paper), and Amate bark paintings (tempera paint/crayons/markers). I would love to teach my classes about the different cultures around them and in the world and do projects based on those cultures. Other types of art/cultural things I will also focus on are African weaving, Elephants of India, and Koi fish of Japan.
