The alternate seating that I am requesting for my students will greatly help them to engage and collaborate more with more alertness. Flexible seating will help my students to rock, lean, stand, just to name a few. which in turn keeps them more alert because it increases oxygen to the brain. With flexible seating, students and teachers have more open communication because choices have to be made. This will help to build problem-solving, higher order thinking and emotional skills. Collaboration and communication is effective for student engagement. Students can communicate with each other easier, and group work/assignments become more engaging and interactive. I am requesting The balance ball because movement will increase blood flow to the brain, helping to improve concentration and increase focus, reduce restlessness, and prevent boredom and distractions in class by keeping the body active and the mind engaged. The portable writing chair is a versatile work surface for writing or using laptops on the floor, in a chair, or outdoors.​
