Flexible seating will allow for students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times, they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. I started implementing flexible seating last year and I immediately saw an improvement in their focus and work! Behavior problems decreased and engagement increased when using flexible seating within the classroom. It opened up for more collaboration to happen between students and allowed me to move freely around the class to assist students when needed. The products that I selected will be a wonderful addition to my classroom by allowing more options for my students. There is no "one size fits all" in kindergarten so giving them options of different learning space is so important to their development.
