I believe in Choice. I don't like to be told where or how to sit and I can't sit still for very long. I have found that my students are the same way. Many cannot sit still in a chair. As of right now, my students are able to sit on the floor at a table, stand at a tall table, or sit at a regular school table with the most popular choices being the floor and standing. I find them more focused when they are sitting how they want to. With flexible seating, my students will learn to take ownership in their work by being able to choose their seating style. This will help them to focus better and get some of their extra energy out in a positive way. This project will provide them better seating options to choose from.
