My goal this year is to provide a reading space for my students. I want a cool little area just for them to pick their favorite books and to read them independently or with their peers, that's where the cushions will be. The table will replace the broken one I currently have to work with multiple groups of students for reading intervention. The comprehension materials will be used as supplemental strategies for my students to apply to their current reading abilities. The nameplate trays are durable storage for their pencils and post-it notes (right now I tape smoothie straws and name tags to the desks, which I have to replace constantly since those are fragile). Lastly, the folders will be used to hold their phonics activities and communication with parents.
