Imagine being confined to a room with 30 other people while trying to read, write, and focus on the task at hand. There’s not much room for you to move around and you can hear everything others are doing because you have someone right next to you on each side. How long could you work before becoming distracted or even frustrated? Flexible seating elevates student engagement. Students learn best when they have some control over their environment. It is no secret that children need to move. Flexible seating will allow my students to find comfortable positions where they work best. When students are uncomfortable, they are distracted and unproductive. Flexible seating is a necessity in any classroom. Students need to constructively release energy or they can easily become distracted or worse, become a disruption to the learning environment. These materials will help ALL of my students do their best work and stay calm, focused, and productive. The cushions will allow my students to spread out in the classroom and find a seating option that works best for them.
