Drying racks are an incredibly important part of any Art Classroom. Without space to properly dry and store paintings, prints, pastel drawings and so much more, projects can be ruined and quickly clog up the room. As a result, students don't have the space necessary to learn, create, and express themselves. Because as many as 200 students will pass through the art room every day, we need drying racks to keep the space clutter-free and ready for each class. Art Class demands a clear and clean space, not just for the actual work, but also so students can feel the sense of calm and clarity that they need to create. Drying racks give us that space. Drying racks protect valuable pieces of student work from harm. Drying racks keep an Art Class running. Two years without Art Class has left our school with a motley selection of art supplies and little to no art-oriented furniture. In the after school art club I run, students have created some truly beautiful work with the little resources we have left, and they are so excited at the opportunity to do more in the coming school year. These racks will ensure they have that opportunity!
