These materials will enhance my classroom library. In my education, I've learned the importance of fostering reading independence. I feel this is not done enough, and too often we assume young students can't "read" alone. My goal is to help students learn to love books- whether it be the pictures, words, or simply the idea. With this project, I will be able to start an organized library with books, necessary organization, and fun seating to help with the encouragement. My classroom library will be like a safe spot for kids to engage in their own learning, and I can't wait to see this happen.
