I am a second-year teacher who has spent a greater chunk of my salary trying to create a fun and flexible learning environment for my third graders. On a teachers salary, this is really hard! I have bought yoga balls, scoop chairs, pillows, and stools. These items brought so much joy to my students last year.
This year, I asked my district for a few more tables to accommodate my larger class size and was told that it wasn't possible right now. I am asking for help with getting some more flexible seating options for my classroom. My students enjoy getting to choose where they work in the classroom and having these options will allow my students the ability to move and collaborate with other students. Students thrive on having a choice, and I want to give them as many choices for comfort and flexibility as I possibly can. This project would allow me to offer 6 new types of seating in our classroom. Students will be able to spread out and work with groups based on their learning with these extra seats. It would also allow me to meet with intervention groups without having to have 10 of us on the floor.
By funding this project, you will help me create a fun, engaging, and flexible classroom that students will want to spend their day learning and working on life skills. Please help me make learning fun and comfortable for our future world leaders!
