In my classroom I have 4 rotating stations: reading to yourself, reading to someone else, writing improvement and a phonics center. Our current curriculum is for 1st graders to focus in on those areas. I'd like to introduce a STEM station to the daily rotations. This will give students a break from the daily curriculum while introducing them to STEM in a fun and creative way. My goal would be to introduce those subjects earlier as it is extremely important for them to start exploring the ideas of STEM and I believe this will help them grow in other subject areas.
