Whether they are conducting an investigation, collecting or analyzing data, sharing an idea for discussion, or coming up with an explanation for a scientific concept, my students are constantly working together. Modeling whiteboards will be used in my classroom as a place for my emerging scientists to share and revise initial ideas, provide feedback on other groups' ideas, and develop scientific models through drawing and writing that explain natural phenomena. They are large enough to sit in the middle of the group table and allow for all students to participate in sharing their ideas. The scales are needed for a number of scientific investigations my students will conduct this year. For example, my 5th graders will be using them to discover that matter is neither created or destroyed as they mix substances together. THANK YOU! :)
