The materials will make a difference in my students' learning by using the materials to explore and gain their own experience through play. In my classroom, we focus on learning through play. They are able to comprehend more and apply what objects mean through playing. These skills will continue with them as they expand their bank of knowledge. Students in my classroom have learned to talk through a play-based curriculum and these materials will help increase their vocabulary skills. By donating to this project, you will help students learn life skills that will stay with them for the rest of their lives! These materials also encourage a variety of ways to learn. All students learn differently and having different items for students to investigate expands their ability to learn different things in different ways. The cash register will help students practice identifying and naming numbers. The Early Language activity set will help students who are beginning to vocalize to strengthen their skills. Magna Tiles will allow for imagination, creation, and constructing different objects/shapes. This will also help students identify different colors and shapes. The Baby and clothes will be helpful in the dramatic play center where students use their imagination and take care of a little baby. The food set will add to the kitchen center so that students can learn to buy foods, feed the baby, or learn how to find items on a grocery list. The positional words box will help students understand where an item is by using words such as on top, in front, behind, next to and so on. Nuts about patterning will be helpful for students who are understanding patterns. The alphabet bubbles will be a fun and exciting exploration in learning about letters.
