I am requesting materials that will allow for more flexible seating and create a calm environment in my classroom. The wobble chairs and cushions will allow students the ability to move around while still learning. The giant comfy pillow will help create a calm area when students are independently reading or need a break in a safe space when feeling overwhelmed. This project will make a difference because it will provide many different sensory options for students with special needs. Many of my students have a hard time sitting still for more than 15 minutes at a time, the wobble chairs and cushions will provide them with the ability to move around and still be engaged in the lesson. The giant comfy pillow will help create a calm corner for students to independently reading or decompress.
