My high school students face adversity every day, like most teenagers. But, being from a small town with a history of generational poverty, there is not a lot of stories of success with overcoming adversity. This project will not only allow my students to be able to see that overcoming adversity is possible, but it will give them an opportunity to talk and learn with their peers about overcoming adversity. Book clubs are an amazing way for students to be able to not only dive deeply into a book, but to be able to talk with peers that they trust, to inspire one another. I do not have enough books to do this, at this moment, which is why I am reaching out on here to be able to provide them this opportunity. Thank you so very much for considering helping!!!
