About my class

My students have diverse backgrounds, cultures, learning styles, and abilities. I often have a classroom with kids who do not do well sitting all day at a typical desk. Therefore, we tend to move around my classroom throughout the day. I want to provide seating options that make learning as comfortable and conducive to all learning styles as possible. 2nd graders often need to wiggle, and I am hoping the wiggle seats will help them be able to focus whether sitting in their chair or on the floor. The carpet spots will help kids have a "space" that is their own during times when they are learning on the floor, whether doing partner/group work or listening to a read-aloud. The 3 blue chairs will be for silent reading time so kids have a cozy place to sit and enjoy a good book!
