These laptops will allow my students to access online learning experiences to help them better prepare for success not only in the Physics classroom but in their future endeavors. Having access to online assignments will allow them to better prepare for the ACT and for college assignments. Most of our students do not have the opportunity to work on assignments online outside of the classroom because of lack of access to proper technology. I plan to set up my Physics students with online access to Khan Academy for online assignments. I also plan to give the students projects to complete online. These students will be required to submit certain online assignments weekly and will have time in the classroom to do so. This will allow students to practice working on the computer to solve problems which will help them improve their ACT scores. In improving these scores, they will be eligible for more college scholarships. Also, when they enroll in college, they will be required to submit online assignments. This will also allow the students to become familiar with this type of work. It will also allow them to take some responsibility in keeping track of work that they have done.
