New chairs that are the appropriate height and that have a back would help my students tremendously in the art room. They would be able to sit more comfortably while working, demonstrate a greater amount of focused, be safer and more independent with the chairs. In the art room we currently have stools that are over twenty years old. They are made out of heavy metal and have fiberboard tops. Many of the tops are falling apart which at times can be very distracting to some students. They pose dificulty for my youngest students due to the height of them as well as not having a back for them to support themselves with.
