Flexible seating allows students to be comfortable and empowered within their learning environment. When students are given choices they become more engaged in their learning. Some of my students benefit from movement while they are learning, and these materials will allow my students to do so. Flexible seating will help my students maintain focus. These seating options will be utilized in several ways. They will be used for group lessons, independent work, as well as in our calm down corner. Many of my students become over stimulated and having comfortable items in their designated space with help them to calm down and return to work more quickly.
