Creating a classroom environment that caters to the gifted learner can be challenging task. Students can come from diverse backgrounds, have a range of social and emotional needs, and require stimulating environments. Through careful consideration flexible seating allows gifted students to be most successful. Flexible seating can accommodate students of all sizes, allowing for an inclusive environment where students are relaxed and engaged (Littman, 2016). Along with choose seats students will each have their own cubbies to keep their supplies. This will allow for smoother transport from one seat to another. This implementation incorporates student buy-in and in return students are more engaged throughout the day. Flexible seating in a classroom helps nurture the gifted potential of third grade students.
