Many of my students struggle with demonstrating coping and socialization skills. I have found that Legos are an effective tool in helping them gain these skills. My students love creating masterpieces with Legos. As a part of their therapy, they work together in teams to learn how to share, make decisions and compromise in the process of building. My girls also love to work with the Legos. Unfortunately, I do not have enough Legos to share with all of my students. They love having Lego people and interacting with one another through play. In addition, Legos encourages their participation in the field of STEM. The community starter kit will help encourage them to explore career options and the STEM pack will give them exposure through the world of Legos.
