Improving reading skills through technology use is very important. A computer in our classroom would be great. It would increase low reading scores to show more academic growth. The problem of low readers was revealed through classroom assessments, iReady, star testing, and report cards. The computer would be added as another classroom center. All center groups will be rotated daily. They will be working on vocabulary strategies, comprehension, online reading, and phonics. They would also have additional time on iReady and star testing. Those are adopted reading programs our school strongly enforce to enhance reading. I strongly feel this would increase reading abilities and inspire them to want to learn.
