Ever wonder what is in an owl pellet? My students and I can show you if you help provide owl pellets for our ecosystems unit! We will dissect the pellets and examine the fur and bones to identify the owl's prey. The items found will then be used to create a food web that can be found within a given ecosystem. My goal is to provide engaging hands-on labs along with an extensive science library that fuels my students excitement and passion for science! Students will use LED lights, copper tape, and button batteries to create working circuits for challenging review games as well as holiday cards. Finally, a well rounded collection of picture books that address all of our science standards will provide opportunities for students to experience excellent science literature to supplement each of our units.
