Putting pencil to paper isn't always easy for everyone. Many of my students become frustrated when they are asked to write and copy words down. It is hard for them to sit still in a desk and complete many assignments. They require a lot of hands on activities and movement to help them learn and motivate them. Having new manipulatives and games would keep my students engaged when other tasks may be too difficult. Having manipulatives and interactive games in the classroom enhances learning experiences and keeps students interested in the task and helps them master the skill. Adding new manipulatives and games would benefit my students with special needs and get them excited about learning!
