I want to provide engaging learning opportunities for students, while holding each student accountable for their own learning. My students need a variety of manipulatives and storage for a Makerspace. Many students have difficulties understanding and applying abstract concepts without tactile materials such as the requested building sets. It is important for students' learning styles to be fostered and to have support for alternative learning. Research shows there is a growing interest in whether Maker education can help boost student learning outcomes, including test scores (Herold 2016). Also, bringing a Makerspace to the classroom has put a stronger focus on equity and diversity, which is important for the students in the future. Your support would increase interaction and engagement among students. Please help me provide the best learning experiences for my students!
